Yankees making moves again

It has been a time of anxiously awaiting the arrival to the big leagues for some of their heralded minor leaguers. Probably the most talked about is Jesus Montero, the catcher with question marks behind the plate but not at it. When moved up to the Yankees at the end of last year for a look and a little seasoning Montero managed to hit 28 RBI's in only 18 games while maintaining a batting average well over the .300 mark.

While Montero's bat was expected in the big league lineup and will be missed, the Yanks have other sluggers that can pick up the slack. With this trade, the Yankees bring in a quality young arm that many throughout baseball think could develop into a #1 starter. Playing in the American League and baptished by fire last year Pineda kept his ERA sub 4, steady and solid at 3.74 and he's only 22 years old. Learning under perrenial all-star CC Sabathia shouldn't do anything but help as long as Pineda doesn't follow Sabathia in his eating or shall I say over-eating schedule.

Yanks also sign a possible target of the Red Sox in Hiroki Kuroda.
