Oh how the mighty have fallen....

The university of North Carolina is one of if not THE best college basketball program in the country....some would go with UCLA or Kentucky but for me its no doubt the Tar Heels are the best. The problem is they sure as hell aren't playing like it. With a handful of top 100 recruits every year to re-stock their system when players leave for the NBA early after their freshmen year they should be a top 10 team. PERIOD. Looking at them on paper I would never see them losing to a team like Miami....Good Ol Roy Williams teams always seem to have a problem with teams that are lanky and athletic. Miami is one of those teams. Hopefully they move on and start blending together better on the court.

The Tar Heels are 3-0 versus ranked teams yet have lost 3 times to teams that don't have a single McDonald's All American, while they have 4. Yes they are dealing with injuries along with the surprising dismissal of PJ Hairston who was their best outside shooter and ready to have a monster year. Hairston was lighting up the summer league and poised to have his best year yet but after 2 public arrests in which he was driving a car that was rented by a known drug dealer put the pressure on the team to make a statement. Unfortunately for North Carolina they don't have another guy to just throw into that 2 guard spot that has the shooting ability of Hairston.  He's big, strong, powerful and he has a beautiful touch from outside....

Nobody is still thinking about the 3 teams ranked that you beat, remember it's a what have you done for me lately kind of school, and the only thing they have done lately is LOSE. and LOSE TO TEAMS THAT SHOULDN'T EVEN MAKE THE NCAA TOURNEY!

LET'S GO TAR HEELS!!!

Bama seemingly about to make a MONUMENTAL MISTAKE.....

ROLL TIDE

The university of alabama is reportedly interviewing former Tennessee and USC disaster of a head coach Lane Kiffin. Kiffin has so far in his illustrious career built a 35-21 record between those 2 schools and lost in both bowl games he coached.... 21 losses in 5 years, that's about 4 losses per year at a school that was a national powerhouse before he arrived. USC is a DESTINATION that players have historically flocked to. The Trojans have all of the west coach to recruit and especially with the number of players in the southern California area. So far its pretty obvious coach Kiffin has only gotten jobs because of his last name. His father Monty Kiffin is the creator of the "tampa 2" defense that was so popular with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In more recent news, Monty Kiffin was the defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys defense that gave up a record number of points throughout the year. There were injuries on the defense that became too much to overcome as you can only coach up talent to a point.

Lane Kiffin Coaching Career Stat

Someone PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE FASCINATION WITH THIS ARROGANT, SELF ABSORBED, RICH, JACKASS. The man continues to walk into these incredible opportunities year after year of disappointment with where he is....I can't even find the last time he coached a team to the end of his initial contract....maybe he never has. How do you expect your school to recruit and keep kids when the coach leaves every 2 years....

THOSE CRAZY NFLERS AND THEIR MEDIOCRITY.....

NFL ESPN.COM SCORES

Every time I think I've got a handle on the have's and the have not's in THE LEAGUE those jacked up little juicers play some sort of Pop Warner exhibition masked as NFL football and I have to change the channel so I don't throw the remote through the TV.

Alex "just manage the game" Smith puts up 56 on the Raiders, San Diego beats the Broncos and MR. Football by 7 and the depleted Patriots play down to their competition in a place that always gives them a tough game against the Dolphins and the suddenly tough Jeff Fisher coached Rams manage a way to beat Sean Peyton, Drew Brees and the rest of the Saints while giving up nearly 400 yards passing and only putting together 158 themselves. Fisher once again is putting his stamp on his team and bringing winning to a recently hapless franchise quietly controlling nothing but the score and turnover battle.

After dominating the scoreboard to the tune of 26-3 against the practice squad Packers the Cowboys we know and love have come back(and by come back I mean back down to the pitiful, unpredictable, unreliable and longtime losers that they are) and let the Packers get back into the game by giving up enough points to take a all to close 36-30 lead at the 2 minute warning. Predictably enough the Boys in Blue let Green Bay run off a 7 play drive ending in a 1 yard rookie Eddie Lacy TD run for a 1 point lead Packers.

In the division no one wants to win, the NFC Least, after a surprising upset victory over the Lions who were a popular pick to make a playoff run, they snapped back into reality and hopelessness taking a 48-30 schlacking by the hapless Minnesota Vikings and lifetime backup Matt Cassell. Cassell lit up the Eagles so called defense for 370 yards and cruised to the victory even though possible NFL dark horse MVP Nick Foles stacked up 396 with 3 td's and almost 200 of them to superstar DeSean Jackson.
